meeting notes from 10/29

Hi Everybody.  hope you are staying warm!

The meeting yesterday was much shorter than the previous ones.  We
talked about sticking with the name Queer Rock Camp because; a) it
affiliates us with girls rock camp, b) it sounds more hip than music
camp, c) despite the fact that the word queer has not always included
a broader L.G.B.T.Q.Q.I.A. population, we think it is becoming
co-opted even by youth.  Also we would still keep the subtitle : "a
music camp for L.G.B.T.Q.Q.I.A. youth and their allies."

Ok then benefit shows:
 We on for Friday the 7th in Olympia.  Hail Seizures are gonna play. 
 yeah!!!!  

Our crazy benefit weekend is getting pushed back to February or March
so that we can get super famous bands to play. hehe. We want to have a
big show here in oly at either the Eagles hall or the northern or
something with bands from oly and portland.   That show could either
travel up to seattle the next day, or we could plan a different show.

Im gonna use the mission statement to email spaces for camp because no
one has sent me any revisions. cool. we didn't schedule a next
meeting. I'll be out of town from Jan 9th until the end of the month,
but I'll write to places about camp and the big benefit, and keep in
touch.
